Meet the Team: Antonia Martin

Antonia Martin has recently joined us as the Head of Sales and is the newest member of Moore Insight! In this blog, read about her experience, her role, and advice for people wanting to start a career in sales.

What was your background before Moore Insight?

After graduating from the University of Sheffield with a degree in English Literature, I ended up in a grad role doing tech support for a software company. This eventually led to a sales role where I developed my bid writing and presentation skills that has helped me advance throughout my career.

Throughout my sales career, I have gained valuable experience in the world of software, services, and hardware across different markets including education and the private sector.

What is your current role and why did you decide to work at Moore Insight?

In May 2023, I became the Head of Sales at Moore Insight. Given my previous experience and skillset, I saw this position as a great opportunity to progress my career and contribute to the company's growth.

As someone who values transparency and promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion, I was particularly pleased to find that Moore Insight hosts an EDI group and shares the same values.

How would you describe your current role?

As the Head of Sales, I am responsible for helping Moore Insight achieve its revenue targets and goals. This involves communicating effectively with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.

On a day-to-day basis, I develop and implement sales strategies, manage the sales pipeline, build and maintain relationships with clients, and identify new opportunities and revenue streams for Moore Insight.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Moore Insight?

Being part of a small organisation enables me to engage in multiple projects and learn about the business quickly. Moore Insight has so much potential, and I feel like I get a say in what direction it moves in. In the future, I would like to lead a successful sales team and bring in lots of revenue, to aid the company’s growth.

What advice would you give someone who is looking to apply for a career in Sales?

My main piece of advice is to never compare yourself to others, as everyone has a unique skill and/or experience to bring to the table. Lastly, eat the frog otherwise the frog will eat you...

In other words, do not waste your time procrastinating - just do it!
