Success of Graduate Programme: 1 Year On

Our RISE Graduates: 1 Year On

Twelve months have passed since our first intake of graduates from the RISE Programme. We could not be more pleased with the progress that they’ve made and their achievements.

Nick, Mercy, Helen and Thomas our Moore Insight team from different backgrounds and with varying levels of knowledge and experience, but all with the same passion to learn and develop as professionals, contributing to Moore Insight’s growth.

In this article, we asked them to share their experiences to date, what being part of the Moore Insight Team has meant to them, and a few words from our Director, Brian Mahon who was involved in interviewing the graduates before they joined us.

Here’s what the graduates had to say:

Helen Colls

What I’ve loved…

Everyone is so lovely and welcoming at Moore Insight. It’s a company that really does care about its employees and wants them to grow both personally and professionally. We’re a team and we all support each other.

What I never expected…

To have been actively involved with providing project support to our clients and associates so soon into my employment. This has been a great learning opportunity.

What next...

I am hoping to continue supporting clients and associates on projects, alongside growing and developing my knowledge of project management.

Nick Daly

What I’ve loved

I’ve loved the work and the additional learning opportunities Moore Insight have created for myself and the other grads.

What I never expected

I never expected to be given the amount of responsibility I have in such a short space of time, but this is coupled with a tremendous amount of support which is always available if there’s ever anything I’m unsure about.

What next...

I want to continue my current role, take on new challenges and develop my skillsets which I can apply to all areas of the business.

Mercy Ubani

What I’ve loved

The team-spirit. Sometimes, I feel like I am back in high school, every day is a barrel of laughs mixed with working hard for the company but the team always encourage one another and keep each other smiling.

What I never expected

Everyone is so chill and supportive, and this has helped my personal growth. I am more open to trying new things and less anxious in social situations.

What next...

I hope that I can continue to ease into my role, learn more about my interests and be more active in my community.

Thomas Walsh

What I’ve loved.

Loved getting so many opportunities to take ownership over pieces of work and have always felt like I'm being listened to by all of the team (inc directors). Loved that the team is so close despite the obvious challenges brought about last year.

What I never expected

Never expected to get involved in so many aspects of the business, from core finance to client work to internal PMO and delivery design, lots to do and no two days are the same

What next...

Continue with my exams, excited to get more consultancy exposure doing data mig for a new client as well as developing my core project skills.

A word from one of our Directors

Brian Mahon, Director at Moore Insight for more than 6 years has this to say about our RISE Graduates’ 1 Year Anniversary:

“What a difference a year makes! This time last year we proudly announced the arrival of our new graduate recruits. We knew there was great talent out there ready and willing to join our exciting team. Not just to grow the numbers but to make a strong contribution to our learning and developing ethos, to grow professionally and personally.”

He continues “Now, a year on, they have made a huge contribution to our firm and we hope they feel we have paid that back in spades with our commitment to them. They have had exposure to a wide variety of work, client facing and internally. Several have progressed their professional qualifications as CIMA accountants as well as participated in our internal training programmes. Exams have been passed. They have started to find areas they wish to focus on more and develop deeper skills as they become more self-sufficient.”

“Some have already been promoted, showing us just how good our graduates recruits really are. We are very proud of them and their achievements and what the have brought to our team and our business. They are leading on improving internal processes and learning fast how to implement systems. And all this achieved in a time of exceptional hardship that 2020 brought.”

“We couldn’t be prouder of them. So Happy Anniversary to our graduate recruits. We are looking forward to the next year and seeing how much more they develop, and the new cohort that will soon be joining them on their career journey.”
