At Moore Insight, we have focused for many years on a comprehensive Social Corporate Responsibility Strategy that we don’t just talk about, we take action. We align our strategy and actions to the ISO 26000 International Standard for Social Responsibility 7 key principles. These are:
- Accountability
- Transparency
- Ethical Behaviour
- Respect for Stakeholder Interests
- Respect for the Rule of Law
- Respect for International Norms of Behaviour
- Respect for Human Rights
Our Corporate Social Responsibility Statement outlines how we apply these principles to our organisation, with the management team leading by example and setting an expectation for all employees and associates.
Our Social Impact
As an ethical and socially-driven organisation, we undertake a number of activities in support communities and charitable organisations every year, simply because we feel it is our responsibility to give back.
We focus on 4 key themes in our CSR strategy:
-
Wellbeing
-
Fighting Climate Change
We have a number of ongoing company initiatives outside of project and social value delivery for clients, that we are involved with as part of our internal Corporate Social Responsibility:
Looking after our people and encouraging a social impact culture
As an accredited Real Living Wage Employer, we fully support the REAL living wage campaign to ensure that all of our people are paid fairly to support current living standards.
We provide each new member of our team with an induction, outlining our culture, expectation of commitment to our values, and our open-door policy with senior managers and Directors alike.
We have also appointed a company wellbeing officer who advises on health and fitness to support the health of our staff and associates. This contributes towards the mental and physical well-being of all.
Staff volunteer time
We grant employees a percentage of working time to commit to voluntary causes, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility. Our team have been involved in volunteering with charities, providing free consultancy support to not-for-profits and co-ordinating volunteer activities.
Corporate Members of The Waverly Paddle Steamer
Moore Insight are corporate sponsors of the Waverley Paddle Steamers Society, and aside from monetary donations to the charity, we have also provided them with free expertise, helping them to fully implement Office 365 to enable their operations to run fluidly and consistently.

Annual Christmas Jumper Day – “National Elf Service Appeal” – Raised more than £550
Throughout December 2020 after a year of lockdown, we wanted to do something to support a local charity that was close to all of our hearts. To coincide with our Christmas Jumper Day, we raised funds for The Sheffield Children’s Hospital “National Elf Service Appeal.” The aim of the campaign was to raise money to help fund the new Cancer and Leukaemia ward at the hospital. In just over a week, our team were able to raise almost £600 for the appeal.
Christmas Donations to S6 Foodbank
In December 2019, we ran a food collection point in our Sheffield office and delivered more than 2 boxes of food and essentials to one of our local foodbanks to support struggling local families in need.
Sponsorship and charitable undertakings for Myotonic Dystrophy Research
In 2018, we raised £1,000 for Muscular Dystrophy Research when our Business Development & Marketing Manager abseiled 180ft down the side of Sheffield Hallam University’s Students Union. This was to raise money for the rare muscle-wasting condition, Myotonic Dystrophy.
Proudly Premium Members of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce
We support our local business and enterprise Chamber of Commerce by paying annual premium member fees. This means that we are actively involved in networking with local businesses and public sector organisations across the region, offering our support and guidance in our technology-focused subject expertise.
The Sheffield City-Region RISE programme
We are a case study business working with the Graduate Recruitment Scheme in collaboration with Sheffield Region RISE programme alongside a number of local organisations.

In 2020, we recruited 5 graduates, 4 from the local area and 1 from a neighbouring city. We worked in partnership with several organisations including both Sheffield Universities. We have provided a development scheme for the graduates and continue to acknowledge their success.
